We hope you find the answers to all of your doggy day camp question's here. If you have a question that is not answered on this page please feel free to contact us.
No, you may come every day if you like. Some of our guests come three times a week or two times a week. It is up to you and your pet to decide the number of days you attend. Please let us know how many days you would like to attend during the week so we are able to accommodate your pet.
Yes, all dogs are welcome. Owners need to certify that their pet(s) have not harmed or shown aggression toward any person or other pet. If a pet shows aggression he/she may be expelled from daycare.
Yes, there is one day camp staff member to every 10-15 dogs. The day camp staff member makes sure a good time is had by all.
Our open floor concept allows complete visibility of our facility so you can be assured that your dog is having a great time.
Some small dogs enjoy running with the big dogs but just in case, we have a special area for the little ones to romp with his/her smaller friends. It is up to your dog if he/she wants to play with the big or small dogs.
Run! Play! Wrestle! Socialize with playmates, lounge around and talk the latest gossip with new friends!
The dogs will be taken into our outside compound for regular potty breaks throughout the day. If any of the dogs have an accident before their scheduled outside time, our staff is with the dogs at all times to immediately clean up after them.
No! Dogs are very good at learning they can do one behaviour in one location and another behaviour in a different location. If your pet is housetrained at home - he will remain housetrained at home. Your home does not cater to a large number of canine residents with all their attendant odours or rubber flooring. Your dog will definitely know the difference between home and daycare.
We take time to read your pet's registration forms and go over any important information specific to your pet. Your pet will be assessed for suitability in the daycare environment.
If you would like your pet to eat while at daycare you will need to supply his/her food and his/her eating schedule. There is no extra cost to feed your pet while in daycare. Your dog will be placed in a separate area during this time to ensure that none of his/her new friends try to mooch some food off of them.
No most medications and dietary needs will be handled at no extra cost to you. Pets with handicaps are welcome at daycare and placed in an appropriate playgroup.
We offer prepaid packages (please see our rates page) and discounts on multi family pets. We also offer an additional discount for active military personnel and members of Kilcona Park Dog Club.
Yes! All ages are welcome. Older or handicapped pets will be placed in appropriate playgroups.
You will be contacted if your dog is ill and be required to pick up your pet. In the case of a serious medical emergency that requires immediate veterinary attention we will take your pet directly to our emergency vet.
Your dog's collar (or harness) must have "pinch to release" buckles.
A pinch to release buckle is found on most nylon collars. It is usually made of black plastic and consists of a "fork" and a "sleeve". To release the buckle, you squeeze the two edges of the "fork" & it will pop out of the "sleeve". This type of buckle allows our staff to quickly get the collar off your dog in an emergency.
All dogs must wear a collar for safety purposes. In the event of an emergency, your dog would need his collar in order to vacate the facility.
We require that all dogs have up-to-date Distemper, Parvovirus and Rabies vaccinations. The Bordetella vaccine is highly recommended, but is ultimately up to you and your Veterinarian. Proof of vaccinations by licensed Veterinarian is required.
Yes. We require that all dogs in our care are spayed or neutered to participate in daycare once they are over 8 months of age. Puppies up to 8 months of age are not required to be spayed or neutered.
We use specially sealed 3/8" rubber flooring. This helps ease joints as well as cushion any activity to lessen the chance of injury due to hard flooring.
Yes, we offer overnight and extended stays.
It is up to you, if your dog is used to sleeping in a crate at night, you should bring his/her crate along for the sleepover. If your dog is used to cuddling with you, sleeping on the floor or in their own bed, let us know and bring anything that they are used to having at night to make their stay more comfortable.
You should bring food to cover their whole stay with us, any favorite toys/beds/blankets and if they are used to sleeping in a crate, bring their crate along. We want to keep everything as familiar as possible to make their stay with us more enjoyable.
YES! We have a staff member on site 24/7 with your pet so they are never alone while in our care.
